The Pyramid of Khafre or the tomb of Pharaoh Khafre is the second largest pyramid in the Giza Plateau which is believed to be built around 2570 BC. Even though it is the second largest pyramid in the series of Pyramids of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre looks larger in size due to the landscape elevation of that particular area.It took around 20,000 workers to build this pyramid with millions of limestone and granite. The retention of the original white outer cast stone at the top is yet another unique aspect of the Pyramid of Khafre apart from the intricate architecture and design of the chambers inside.
